Master Esthetician | Educator | Founder of Skin ETC Spa
Makeea Dopson is a Master Esthetician, educator, and the owner of Skin ETC Spa, a results-driven skincare studio based in Jacksonville, Florida. Since relocating to Jacksonville in 2015, Makeea has built a respected name in the beauty and skincare industry through advanced education, proven results, and an unwavering commitment to quality care—particularly for skin of color.

Licensed as an Esthetician in 2016 and a Cosmetologist in 2017, Makeea founded Skin ETC Spa on the principles of corrective skincare, customization, and client education. Her expertise centers on advanced treatments such as collagen induction therapy (microneedling), hydrodermabrasion, and professional chemical peels, with a strong emphasis on acne, hyperpigmentation, and aging concerns.

Under her leadership, Skin ETC Spa has been nominated for Best of Florida three consecutive years and has been highlighted by Guide to Florida for both the spa and Makeea’s individual work as an esthetician. Her results-focused approach has earned national recognition, including multiple features by PCA Skin across their social platforms. Skin ETC Spa is also a PCA Skin Silver Rewards Partner, reflecting ongoing professional excellence and brand trust.
Makeea’s work has been recognized and featured by leading professional brands including Dermalogica, Zemits, Med Couture, Esthemax, Herbal Skin Solutions, and Dermaplane Pro, among others. She has also appeared twice on River City Live, sharing her expertise with a wider audience.

Beyond the treatment room, Makeea is deeply committed to education and mentorship. She actively trains and mentors estheticians, hosts students from local esthetics programs for hands-on demos and spa tours, and is currently developing a comprehensive training and mentoring platform designed to support professionals at every stage of their careers. Her advanced training includes numerous certifications with PCA Skin, Mark Lees Skincare, and Herbal Skin Solutions.

Kirstin Thompson
Licensed Esthetician
Kirstin Thompson is a licensed esthetician who received her esthetics license from FSCJ in 2017. Her passion for the beauty industry began early through a cosmetology program at a technology high school, helping her build a strong foundation in both skin and makeup.
Kirstin is highly trained in makeup artistry and brow design, having worked with the number one eyebrow company, Anastasia Beverly Hills, where she became a brow expert. She further refined her skills in the luxury retail space at Nordstrom for three years. Her experience includes hosting makeup and brow classes, serving as a head makeup artist for special events, and providing on-site makeup services for weddings.
In addition to makeup and brow services, Kirstin is chemical peel certified and performs customized facials tailored to each client’s skin needs. Her specialties include brow shaping, brow tinting, brow lamination, lash lifting, and results-driven skin treatments.
Kirstin is committed to continuing education and believes in listening to her clients while providing expert guidance to help them look and feel their best.

Tia Hepburn is a licensed esthetician with over four years of experience, trained at the prestigious Parisian Spa Institute in Jacksonville, Florida. She specializes in precision hard waxing services, delivering Brazilian, body, and full-body treatments designed with comfort, care, and skin integrity in mind.
With a deep passion for corrective skincare, Tia offers personalized facial treatments curated to address each client’s unique skin concerns and long-term goals. Her advanced service offerings include professional chemical peels and collagen induction therapy, allowing her to effectively treat concerns such as acne, hyperpigmentation, texture, and aging.
Tia is known for creating a calm, elevated experience where education, results, and intentional care come together. She warmly welcomes all clients and is dedicated to helping each individual feel confident, supported, and radiant in their skin.

Lyric’s passion for beauty began early, with a natural eye for artistry that first showed through makeup work for school productions, proms, and special events. What started as talent quickly evolved into a career rooted in education, precision, and skin-first beauty. She earned her Full Specialist license from the Aveda Institute of Jacksonville in March 2021, where she developed a strong foundation in corrective skincare and professional esthetics.
Now a licensed esthetician, chemical peel certified professional, and 2x certified lash artist, Lyric has also completed multiple advanced certifications with PCA Skin, further strengthening her expertise in professional-grade corrective skincare. She specializes in results-driven treatments alongside elevated beauty services, including luxury lash extensions, soft glam and bridal makeup, and precise brow waxing and tinting. Her approach blends glam with skin health, ensuring clients not only look flawless but also maintain the integrity and long-term health of their skin.
Known for her ability to enhance natural features across a diverse range of skin tones and face structures, Lyric customizes every service with intention, precision, and artistry. Her experience includes working with notable clientele such as Deiondra Sanders. Above all, she is dedicated to delivering a high-end, personalized experience where beauty, confidence, and skin wellness come together.
